Mo Zell, RA
Principal

Mo is an architect focusing on the ‘architecture of engagement’, placing an importance on visual experience, human interaction and the willful control in developing that experience. Mo received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and her Master of Architecture from Yale University. Mo is currently a full time professor teaching design studio and drawing. Her research focuses on the re-engagement with three-dimensional spatial thinking as a design tool, fostering a greater connection between building and context. The models and representations developed through the research are employable at all design scales from the individual building to urban design interventions. Her research into the reconsideration of the urban representation and how that influences design interventions is currently being launched on the website http://nuweb.neu.edu/citymapping. She recently completed a book on the pedagogy of design and representation for the beginning design student titled Architectural Drawing Course.
